Τα Ρήματα
The Verbs

Lesson 28 - Greek Grammar

Verbs = τα Ρήματα (Singular: το Ρήμα) are words that show us action. The words play (παίζω), write (γράφω), read (διαβάζω), run (τρέχω), show an action, therefore are verbs.

Every word that is a verb in English is also a verb in Greek.   The verbs are divided into four groups. They have persons, tenses, voices, and we can Conjugate them. In the next few lessons I'll teach you the basics and more, but everything  will not be covered.

Verbs are a bit difficult, but if you pay attention you will learn everything about them. As the site expands, I'll add a special section that will cover exceptions, and more. If you feel ready to start, click on the link below to learn about the groups of the verbs.
