happened recently and now has finished. The Present Perfect uses the present
tense of the auxiliary verb "έχω" in front of the verb.

Did you notice in the above two examples that the second verb is translated as subjunctive mood of the past simple? Use the subjunctive mood of the Present Tense when the action is continuous. Use the subjunctive mood of the Past Tense when the action takes place once. Use the appropriate voice. Present Perfect with an Adjective or an Adverb.
