Sentences in Future Simple

   Future Simple lets us create sentences that describe something that will happen in the Future for a moment. The future tenses use the word "θα" in front of the verb. 

The Sentence

"I shall go to school"

The Basic Pattern

Pronoun verb in Future Simple noun, verb or Adjective.

The Translation

In English Ishall goto school.
In Greek εγώ θα πάω στο σχολείο.

Similar Sentences

In English Ishall play
In Greek εγώ θα παίξω


In English Ishall writein my notebook.
In Greek εγώ θα γράψω στο τετράδιό μου.


In English Theywill play in the nextgame.
In Greek Αυτοί θα παίξουν στο επόμενο παιχνίδι.

Future Simple with two verbs.

In English Hewill goto play.
In Greek Αυτός θα πάει να παίξει.


In English Theywill goto sleep.
In Greek Αυτοί θα πάνε να κοιμηθούν.

   Did you notice in the above two examples that the second verb is translated as subjunctive mood of the past simple? Use the subjunctive mood of the Present Tense when the action is continuous. Use the subjunctive mood of the Past Tense when the action takes place once. Use the appropriate voice.

Future Simple with an Adjective or an Adverb.

In English Wewill playwell
In Greek εμείς θα παίξουμε καλά


In English Hewill becometall.
In Greek Αυτός θα γίνει ψηλός.
