   Athena transformed as Telemachus went around the island and gathered 20 sailors. She also found a ship. Then she went to the palace. She disguised herself as Mentor again and she put the suitors to sleep. Then she took Telemachus out of the palace. They went to the port. The ship was loaded and ready to go.

   The next morning they arrived at Pylos. The people of Pylos were making offerings to Poseidon at this time. They prepared to eat, when Nestor saw two strangers approaching. The king invited them to join this celebration and his son Pisistratus (Πεισίστρατος) offered the first glass of wine to Mentor (Athena). Athena liked this move very much. After they ate, Nestor asked them where they were from and Telemachus told him that he is the son of Odysseus.

   Nestor was very happy to see the son of the great hero. He told Telemachus about all the dangers that they went through when they were coming back from Troy. He also told him that he did not know anything about Odysseus.

   The king invited Telemachus and Mentor to sleep in the palace. Mentor told them that he had to leave and as he said that, he transformed into an eagle and flew away...
   Nestor and the others saw this, and realized that Telemachus was protected by the goddess Athena.

   When they woke up the next day, Nestor offered a sacrifice to Athena and his sons prepared the horses. Telemachus would go visit king Menelaus. Maybe he knew something about Odysseus. Pisistratus, Nestor's youngest son, left with Telemachus for Sparta...

   Η Αθηνά μεταμορφωμένη σαν τον Τηλέμαχο γύρισε το νησί και μάζεψε 20 ναύτες. Βρήκε επίσης και ένα πλοίο. Έπειτα πήγε στο παλάτι. Μεταμφιέστηκε πάλι σαν Μέντορας και έριξε τους μνηστήρες για ύπνο. Μετά έβγαλε τον Τηλέμαχο έξω από το παλάτι. Πήγαν στο λιμάνι. Το πλοίο ήταν φορτωμένο και έτοιμο για να φύγει.

   Το επόμενο πρωί έφτασαν στην Πύλο. Οι ανθρώποι της Πύλου έκαναν προσφορές στον Ποσειδώνα. Ετοιμάστηκαν να φάνε, όταν ο Νέστορας είδε δύο άγνωστους να πλησιάζουν. Ο βασιλιάς τους κάλεσε στην γιορτή και ο γιός του ο Πεισίστρατος πρόσφερε το πρώτο ποτήρι κρασί στον Μέντορα (Αθηνά). Της άρεσε πολύ της Αθηνάς αυτή η κίνηση. Αφού έφαγαν, ο Νέστορας τους ρώτησε από που είναι και ο Τηλέμαχος του είπε πως είναι ο γιος του Οδυσσέα.

   Ο Νέστορας χάρηκε πολύ που έβλεπε το γιο του μεγάλου ήρωα. Είπε στον Τηλέμαχο για όλους τους κινδύνους που πέρασαν όταν γύριζαν από την Τροία. Του είπε επίσης πως δεν ήξερε τίποτα για τον Οδυσσέα.

   Ο βασιλιάς κάλεσε τον Τηλέμαχο και τον Μέντορα να κοιμηθούν στο παλάτι. Ο Μέντορας τους είπε πως έπρεπε να φύγει και όπως είπε αυτά, μεταμορφώθηκε σε αετό και πέταξε μακρυά...
   Ο Νέστορας και οι άλλοι το είδαν αυτό, και κατάλαβαν πως ο Τηλέμαχος ήταν προστατευμένος από την θεά Αθηνά.

   Όταν ξύπνησαν την επόμενη μέρα, Ο Νέστορας πρόσφερε θυσία στην Αθηνά και οι γιοι του ετοίμασαν τα άλογα. Ο Τηλέμαχος θα πήγαινε να επισκεπτεί τον βασιλιά Μενέλαο. Ίσως να ήξερε κάτι για τον Οδυσσέα. Ο Πεισίστρατος, ο νεότερος γιος του Νέστορα, έφυγε με τον Τηλέμαχο για την Σπάρτη...
