Lesson 24 - Greek Grammar

The Relative pronouns ( Οι Αναφορικές Αντωνυμίες ) are:

Table 24.1

*Που (that -referring to a sentence or a word-).
*ό,τι (whatever, what -referring to a sentence or a word-).
όποιος, όποια, όποιο (whoever, whichever).
όσος, όση, όσο (as much... as).

* The -που, ό,τι- are not declined. The -όποιος, όσος- are declined as adjectives with the same endings (there is no vocative case).
The - ότι - without comma is a conjunction.

Table 24.2 shows some examples.

Table 24.2

Αγόρασα το βιβλίο που είδα. (I bought the book that I saw).
Πάρε ό,τι θέλεις. (Take whatever you want).
Όποιος κλέβει πάει στην φυλακή. (who ever steals goes to jail).
Δώσε μου όσα λεφτά θέλεις. (Give me as much money as you want).
