This is the final lesson on the declension of nouns.
The tables below will show you the declension of the final gender, the
Neuter. Attention
Again, keep in mind that a neuter noun will always be a neuter noun. It will not
change to a masculine or feminine as you decline it. Learn the endings
of each category well and you'll know how to decline almost all the
neuter nouns!
Table 16
Table 16.1
*The Neuter that end in -ος are declined in the
singular, almost the same as the feminine that end in -ος.
Let's now decline some neuters with different endings.
Table 16.2
Examples of declension of the neuters
that end in -ας are below. Also, there are some neuters that end
in -ως, and some in
-α.
The ones that end in -α, are
declined almost the same, as the ones that end in -μα.
Other neuters end in -σιμο, -ψιμο, -ξιμο. These endings called derivative endings. The nouns derive from other type of words. example from the verb "δένω (tie)", derives the noun "το δέσιμο (tying, binding)". The table below shows some of these neuters: Table 16.3
